Our Basmati & Other Specialty Rice continues to be at the heart of our growth story. For H1 FY’27, it reported a growth of 27 per cent year-on-year (Normalised Growth 22 per cent including Golden Star). The Organic Food & Ingredients, which is currently undergoing a strategic remodelling, reported a revenue in tune Rs 520 crore. The Ready-to-Eat (RTE), Ready-to-Cook (RTC) and Ready-to-Heat (RTH) segment delivered 8 per cent growth with revenue at Rs102 crore.

In Q2 FY’27, consolidated revenue stood at Rs 3,253 crore, growing 17 per cent year-on-year and 3 per cent sequentially. EBITDA stood at Rs 358 crore, up 13 per cent year-on-year, while PAT increased by 10 per cent year-on-year to Rs180 crore.

India continues to be our strongest growth engine, which grew by 24 per cent YOY for H1 FY’27. We are executing a multi-pronged strategy focused on premiumisation, portfolio expansion, distribution expansion and capability building.

During the quarter, we further strengthened our portfolio across multiple consumer segments with the launch of DAAWAT Delight, DAAWAT Rozana Platinum and strengthened our Biryani portfolio with new format offerings like DAAWAT Biryani Masala Paste. The initial response to all new offerings continues to be encouraging.

We are also seeing encouraging traction in our value-added and health-focused offerings like DAAWAT Quick Cooking Brown Rice, DAAWAT Quick Cooking Red Rice and DAAWAT Quick Cooking Black Rice, with all 3 growing in double digits over last year. Our DAAWAT Quick Cooking Brown Rice continues to lead the category with 70 per cent+ market share in General Trade and Modern Retail outlets. Our organic portfolio comprising of DAAWAT I’m Organic range continues to gain momentum, and today we command nearly 18 per cent share of the organic rice segment on key e-commerce platforms. Our Biryani Kits offerings continue to gain traction and grew in double digits in value terms in first half and today we command above 70 per cent share in key E-Commerce platforms.
Our investments behind brands are translating into stronger consumer demand and market share gains. While the category grew by approximately 1.3 per cent, our branded portfolio grew by nearly 8 per cent, enabling us to increase market share by 140 basis points on a YTD basis.

DAAWAT’s market share in India stands at 22.3 per cent share (MAT September 2026, AC Nielsen Retail Survey Audit).  Besides, in YTD terms, there has been a gain of +1.4 per cent vs. a year ago in our market share. (YTD Sep’26; AC Nielsen Retail Survey Audit). Our household penetration increased to 67.5 lakh households (Kantar Household Panel MAT June’25), a 20 per cent expansion over the last 12 months.

We have also significantly expanded our distribution footprint strengthening product availability and consumer access across markets. We continue to invest behind increasing feet-on-street and direct distribution capabilities, resulting in better assortment placement and wider product availability. Alongside these commercial initiatives, we continue to invest aggressively in digitising our supply chain and sales ecosystem. These investments are helping us improve forecasting, strengthen frontline execution and ensure superior on-shelf availability across channels while driving efficiency.

Overall, we continue to believe that branded basmati remains significantly under-penetrated in India, creating a long runway for sustainable growth.

North America remains a key strategic market and an important pillar of our global business witnessing 20.8 per cent (Normalised growth 13.3 per cent, including Golden Star) growth. Our flagship brand Royal continued to command over 60 per cent market share and Golden Star maintaining its position as the No.1 Jasmine Rice brand in US. Golden Star also expanded its portfolio with the launch of Microwaveable Rice Cups, marking its first major foray into the fast-growing RTH rice segment. It is available in 3 varieties, Jasmine Rice, Coconut Jasmine Rice and Jasmine Fried Rice.

Europe remains an important long-term growth market for us, where we continue to invest in expanding consumer reach, strengthening retail partnerships and building brand visibility. During the quarter, we undertook focused consumer and retail initiatives across markets including the Netherlands and Germany as we continue to deepen the presence and relevance of our brands across the region. In UK, LT Foods U.K. continued to strengthen our business momentum in H1, with the Independent & Grocery Team business delivering growth across pack sizes and key DAAWAT categories.
In the Middle East and Rest of the World, our business recorded 24.6 per cent year-on-year growth in H1 FY’27. We continue to strengthen brand salience, widen distribution and drive consumer trials across these markets. In the UAE, we expanded our health-led portfolio with the launch of DAAWAT Quick Cooking Black Rice and DAAWAT Quick Cooking Red Rice, across premium retail outlets as well as e-commerce platforms. In Saudi Arabia, DAAWAT Mazza recorded its highest-ever offtakes at Othaim Retail, supported by stronger in-store visibility and execution.

Our organic business arm, Nature Bio Foods, acquired controlling stake in Netherlands-based Leev.nu B.V., through its subsidiary Nature Bio Foods B.V., for an all-cash consideration of € 1.735 million. With this, Nature Bio Foods B.V.’s share in Leen.nu B.V. stands at 70.75 per cent.

Sustainability remains integral to our long-term growth journey. We continue to strengthen ESG practices across our value chain, spanning sustainable and climate-smart farming, responsible sourcing, resource-efficient manufacturing, sustainable distribution and responsible products. We are glad to share that our CRISIL ESG rating has improved from 54 to 61, elevating LT Foods from the ‘Adequate’ to the ‘Strong’ category.

At the same time, digital transformation remains an important capability-building priority as we continue to invest in technology to enhance consumer and customer engagement, strengthen visibility and controls, and drive greater agility, productivity and operational efficiency across the organisation.

As we enter the second half of FY’27, we remain confident in the strength of our brands, our diversified global footprint and the long-term opportunities before us. Our ambition remains to build LT Foods into a stronger, future-ready global food FMCG company, delivering sustainable, profitable growth and creating enduring value for our consumers and all our stakeholders.”
