Marico Ltd has acquired an additional 24.09 per cent stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals Private Limited, the company behind direct-to-consumer (D2C) nutrition and wellness brand PLIX, for Rs 1,012 crore ($ 105.42 million). The transaction marks another step in Marico’s expansion in the nutrition and wellness segment.

Vertices Partners, a legal firm specialising in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, advised PLIX and its promoters, Rishubh Satiya and Akash Hiren Zaveri, on the transaction.

Following the acquisition, its total shareholding in PLIX has increased to 84.09 per cent. The company is progressing towards its stated plan to complete the acquisition of the remaining stake by July 2027.

It initially acquired a 37.75 per cent stake in PLIX in July 2023, for approximately Rs 369 crore. In May 2025, it increased its holding by acquiring an additional 25.25 per cent of the company’s paid-up share capital. The latest transaction further strengthens its ownership of the D2C wellness brand.

The deal reflects the growing interest of established fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in India’s expanding nutrition and wellness market. D2C brands are gaining traction across categories such as nutritional supplements, functional products, personal care and lifestyle-led wellness offerings, attracting investments from established consumer businesses seeking to diversify their portfolios.

For PLIX, the increased ownership by the company marks another milestone in its growth journey, providing an opportunity to expand its presence within a larger consumer goods business.

Vinayak Burman, founder and managing partner, Vertices Partners, said, “The deal reflected not only a change in shareholding but also the evolution of a business and stakeholder confidence in its future. He added that the firm was pleased to have advised PLIX and its promoters and would continue supporting businesses and founders through key growth decisions.”
