Bean-to-bar chocolate and artisanal coffee brand Savorworks won Double Gold with Direct Trade recognition at India's first regional round of the world's largest chocolate competition (Indian Craft Chocolate Competition 2026), establishing the best dark chocolate quality in India with international honours and qualification for the world final.
At the centre of this achievement is its 85 per cent Dark Chocolate, which received top recognition in the High percent Plain/Origin Dark Chocolate Bars – 85 per cent and Over category and achieved the highest dark chocolate score in India. The recognition marks a defining moment for the brand and reflects its commitment to precision, craftsmanship, and bean-to-bar chocolate making.

What sets it apart is its distinctive approach to chocolate-making, applying its coffee-roasting expertise to cacao. Drawing on the expertise of its specialty coffee roastery, the brand roasts cacao beans in-house with the same precision and attention applied to coffee roasting. This approach allows the team to carefully develop roast profiles and bring out the natural flavour, aroma, and complexity of every cacao bean.

Awarded Gold for its direct trade sourcing practices, the company sources its cacao directly from origin, working closely with farming communities to build lasting relationships and ensure quality and traceability from bean to bar.

Paweena Withyasathien, co-founder & master chocolatier, Savorworks Coffee, said, "For us, these recognitions are a reminder to keep roasting, refining, and reimagining what Indian bean-to-bar chocolate can be. We're just getting started, and we can proudly say that Savorworks is becoming the best dark chocolate maker in India."
