Eeki, one of India's leading agritech disruptors, has raised $7 million from Sixth Sense Ventures. The funds will be used for nationwide scale-up with aeroponic innovation to rapidly expand farm operations across India, strengthen R&D, and scale up the deployment of its advanced Gen 3 Growing Chambers.
The infusion of capital will help it expand its scalable, sustainable farming footprint and accelerate its next-generation technology rollouts. Its mission is to build an ecosystem where nutritious food is accessible, sustainable, and affordable for all. With innovation at its core, it is poised to revolutionise how India grows its food. Over the last one year, it has raised more than $10 million from various investors, stated the communication note.
Food security is one of the biggest challenges facing our planet. With 33% of Earth’s soil already degraded, and 90% at risk by 2050 – crop yields are falling, water is being wasted, and nutritional values of vegetables have dropped by 30%.
According to the company, its innovation lies in the integration of climate-controlled aeroponic chambers with plant physiology expertise, a soil-free growing method where plant roots are suspended in air and misted with nutrient-rich water. This approach not only reduces water consumption by up to 95% compared to traditional farming but also enhances plant health and accelerates growth cycles. By combining aeroponics with its climate-controlled chambers, the company ensures higher yields, consistent quality, and year-round cultivation of pesticide-free produce, all at conventional farming costs.
Abhay Singh, CEO & co-founder, Eeki said, “This funding marks a pivotal moment in our journey toward scaling climate-resilient farming across India and abroad. Our aim is to build a future-ready food system that can thrive irrespective of environmental challenges. Nikhil and Kathan’s appreciation for in-house hardware & tech and long-term value creation makes them the ideal partners for us. The introduction of aeroponics in our Gen 3 chambers represents a paradigm shift in precision agriculture, allowing us to grow clean, nutritious vegetables consistently, independent of seasons and soil.”
Amit Kumar, co-founder Eeki, said, “At least 30% of our team is focused on improving core tech to maximise yield with minimal resources,” said cofounder Amit Kumar. “This raise helps us perfect more crops across zones. With Sixth Sense’s consumer expertise, we aim to build Eeki’s positioning as a leader in nutrition and origin.”
Nikhil Vora, founder and CEO, Sixth Sense Ventures, said, “Sustainable agriculture is critical to future food security. Eeki’s breakthrough model has proven itself in India’s toughest conditions, with superior cost efficiency and potential for global scalability. Backed by sharp execution and R&D, Abhay and Amit are building what could be the world’s most efficient farming company.”
