Novotel Goa & Pilerne fire dept conduct fire training for hotel staff

On the observance of the fire service week, Novotel Hotels and Resorts Goa conducted a fire safety training along with the fire service department, Pilerne, for about 50 of the hotel’s employees recently.
Andrew Lobo, in-charge, Pilerne fire station, and his colleagues imparted classroom training about fire, its classes, types of extinguishers and the importance of fire and life safety.
The classroom training sessions was further magnified with a practical demonstration on fire fighting. The purpose of the practical session was to familiarise all attendees with how to fight fire and use different extinguishers.
Satish Mahale, security manager, Novotel Goa Resorts and Spa and Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel, also conducted a mock fire drill and evacuation a few days prior to the training to enforce the emergency preparedness of both hotels.
