Bakery products are an integral part of everyone’s weekly grocery list. The Indian bakery industry is growing at a steady pace. Biscuits and breads top the list when it comes to the highest-selling products in the bakery sector. They offer convenience, never-ending varieties and ever-evolving flavours and are quite economical on the pocket.
Breads are now a part of our everyday meals, and are also available in healthier and more nutritious variants. Jostras always strives to add more nutritious and healthy ingredients to breads, to make them healthier option as compared to white bread. It has over 5-6 types of healthy bread options to offer to bakers.
The company believes that today’s consumers are well-informed, health-conscious and demand quality. To combat lifestyle diseases, suitable modifications in eating habits and lifestyles is an easy solution. Worldwide, this has increased the demand of natural ingredients and products containing natural ingredients with clean label. Natural and nutritious food is the mantra of today’s educated consumers.
In line with this trend and our vision of value addition, we have launched a bakery ingredient under the brand name Bake O Well- Maltobrown. It is a first-of-its-kind product and has been developed by our own R&D (research and development) team.
It is a malt-based versatile, completely natural product without any additives and E/INS numbers (clean label). It can be successfully used as an alternative to caramel in bakery products like breads, biscuits and cookies.
Apart from imparting brown colour to your product, Maltobrown will also enhance the flavour, making the products more aromatic and tasty. The product has been designed in the powder form, for it to blend well with flour, and is easy to use.
There has been a good response from certain bakeries who are willing to pack nutrition in their products and simultaneously reduce the use of synthetic ingredients.
