Last date of EoI for Agro Processing Clusters under the PMKSY now Feb 28

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has extended the date for the Expression of Interest (EoI), notice uploaded on their website on December 4, 2020’.
The notice is for inviting proposals from potential promoters and investors belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) category for setting up of Agro Processing Clusters under the Scheme for Creation of Infrastructure for Agro Processing Clusters under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY). The last date of submission of EoI was to be done on or before 11:30pm on January 31, 2021.
The ministry has stated that the last date and time for submission of EoI has now been extended upto February 28, 2021, based on the request received from various investors, entrepreneurs and availability of funds.
The EoI has to be submitted only through the ministry’s online portal as per the revised operational guidelines, and only on or before February 28, 2021, by 11:30pm.The detailed operational guidelines of the scheme are available on ministry’s website as well.
The official statement read, “The applicants are required to make payment of Rs 1,00,000 through Demand Draft towards Earnest Money Deposit (EMD / Bid Security) in favour of ‘The Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Food Processing Industries' payable at New Delhi. The original Demand Drafts (DD) should be submitted to the Ministry within 7 days of submission of proposal failing which the proposal will not be considered.”
It also stated, “After selection of the suitable applicants, the amount of EMD will be refunded to the unsuccessful bidders. The EMD of the successful bidders shall be retained by the Ministry as Performance Security till the completion of the project. The amount of EMD retained as performance security shall be forfeited in the event of non-completion of the project or withdrawing from the project after according approval.”
Earlier, MoFPI had extended the date for inviting/ submission of proposal/EoI for financial assistance under the scheme for creation of backward and forward linkage of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana.
This is with reference to the EoI notice uploaded on the ministry’s website on June 17, 2020, for inviting proposal from potential promoters and investors for creation of backward and forward linkage of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana. The last date for submission of proposal EoI was on or before December 31, 2020 for ST/NER (North Eastern region) category proposal. The last date for submission has been exceeded to February 28, 2021 till 5pm in this category.
