HRAWI concludes FSSAI’s latest FoSTaC programme in Navi Mumbai

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI conducted its latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) under the aegis of FSSAI, on February 5 and 6, 2025, at the Four Points by Sheraton Navi Mumbai in Vashi. The workshop drew participation from 62 hospitality professionals, equipping them with critical insights into food safety protocols, sanitation practices and sustainable waste management strategies to elevate operational standards across the sector.

The inaugural session was graced by Professor Praveen Andrews – trainer, Parikshan; Trupti Pawar – secretary general, HRAWI; chef Bandu Popat Ugalmugale – executive sous chef; Rajesh Vasudev Ghole - cluster purchase manager and Chhavi Prabhakar - training and quality manager, Four Points by Sheraton Navi Mumbai.

With this latest edition, HRAWI has now certified 3,337 professionals through its FoSTaC initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to promoting a robust culture of food safety. These programmes aim to empower hospitality stakeholders with actionable knowledge and skills to maintain compliance with national safety regulations and global best practices.
