The future of beverage dispensing is automated and highly precise. At this year’s Drinktec in Munich (September 15–19, 2025), Allengra will present the latest generation of its micro flow sensor, specially developed for applications in the beverage industry. Whether in fully automatic coffee machines, water dispensers, beer taps, or cocktail systems – the sensor ensures reliable dosing, maximum hygiene, and versatile integration options. It is a key component for the next generation of automated beverage systems.
With the ongoing labor shortage in hospitality and growing expectations regarding speed and quality, automation in beverage dispensing is becoming increasingly important. The technical requirements are clear: systems must operate with precision, hygiene, and reliability – across a wide range of fluids, temperature variations, and within limited installation space.
It is a reliable and future-proof solution for manufacturers of beverage systems, combining technological precision with practical design.
The sensor delivers highly accurate flow and temperature measurements, even at low flow rates or rapidly changing conditions. Its ultrasonic measuring technology enables completely contactless operation – with no moving parts and no direct contact between the sensor components and the medium. This ensures wear-free and maintenance-free performance in a hygienic and easy-to-clean design.
Technical Highlights: Measurement accuracy: ±2% of measured value; Suitable media: Water, milk, coffee, soft drinks, juices, syrups – including carbonated beverages; Connectors: Compatible with standard fittings (e.g., AVS Römer, John Guest); Outputs: Modbus RTU, I²C, analog (optional); Integrated high-speed temperature measurement; Food-grade design compliant with EU regulations 1935/2004 and 10/2011; Certified according to NSF51, FDA, and UBA standards for drinking water contact; Dead-space-free design for easy cleaning.
The ultrasonic technology used enables additional features that offer significant advantages in beverage system automation: Air bubble detection: Early detection of empty containers, bottles, or lines (e.g., with milk); Foam detection: Helps ensure consistent quality in beer dispensing; Media recognition: Differentiates between various beverage types and viscosities; Temperature dynamics: Ultrasonic sensing detects temperature changes in real time. Combined with high-precision PT1000 thermometers, this enables dynamic and precise temperature control – ideal for applications like coffee preparation. These added functionalities enhance process control and help prevent dispensing and mixing errors – increasing product quality and customer satisfaction.
It can be seamlessly integrated into existing beverage systems – as a standard component or a customised OEM version. The company offers tailored developments for customers with specific requirements regarding installation space, geometry, or interfaces. This makes the sensors ideal for series production, modular platforms, or highly automated system solutions.
