For more than 125 years, Jell-O has made life’s moments sweeter through its delightfully delicious offerings. The pudding category leader boldly steps into the plant-based space with new Oat Milk Chocolate Pudding. Rolling out to retailers nationwide, this new treat delivers the signature creamy texture and rich chocolate taste – now in a lactose-free and vegan format. This monumental moment marks the first time Kraft Heinz has both entered the plant-based desserts category and launched an oat milk-based product.
Milk is one of the most common food allergies among kids in US, affecting nearly two million kids each year, and more than 30 percent of Americans suffer from lactose intolerance. As families look for dessert offerings that fit evolving dietary needs, the multi-billion-dollar plant-based desserts category is seeing double digit growth. Yet, while pudding is one of the most popular desserts in US, and four in five parents have expressed an interest in dairy alternative versions, current market offerings are limited and consistently fall short on taste and texture. As the category leader and first mainstream brand to enter the space, it aims to close the gap for pudding lovers everywhere.
Lauren Gumbiner, associate director of marketing desserts at The Kraft Heinz Company, said, "JELL-O has always set the standard for creamy and great-tasting desserts that families across the country can enjoy. As our fans’ diets and preferences change, we’re evolving our portfolio alongside them. Our chocolate pudding is a timeless classic, and now, thanks to our lactose-free and vegan oat milk version, we’re excited to give more families the opportunity to enjoy it.”
