Burger King marks a significant milestone in its India journey with the opening of its 600th restaurant in GTB Nagar, Delhi. The milestone brings the brand's journey full circle back to the city where it opened its first-ever India restaurant in 2014. With the opening of its 600th restaurant, it now has 100+ restaurants across Delhi NCR and a presence across 140+ cities in India, strengthening its footprint across metros and emerging cities, while continuing to build a strong connect with India's young and evolving QSR audience.
The journey has been marked by several strategic steps to scale mindfully, build a strong network of supply partners, innovation, strong value proposition, adding the café business and rapid digital adoption as we strengthened brand relevance across consumer segments and occasions.
Rajeev Varman, group CEO and whole-time director, Restaurant Brands Asia, said, “Our 600th restaurant is a testament to the love and support we get from our guests, vendor partners and most importantly each and every one of our restaurant employees. I remain thankful to all of them for their invaluable contributions. Every new restaurant brings the brand closer to more guests, while enabling us to build greater relevance across markets and occasions. As we continue to scale, we are creating efficiencies that position the business for sustainable and responsible expansion and the next phase of our growth journey.”
