D-Alive has added to the Holi festivities with the launch of organic, sugar-free thandai, designed specifically for people with diabetes.

The thandai mix is made with 100 per cent natural ingredients, completely free from all sorts of adulteration, chemicals and additives that people are constantly exposed to in the simplest forms of food products.

Most thandai available in the market are just a simple mix of spice powders and nuts that are loaded with sugars, which defeats the healthy goodness of a thandai.

However, D-Alive’s thandai mix is a flavourful blend of organic spices, which are freshly
ground from spice wholes that release a much richer flavour with all its beneficial
properties intact, unlike the easily-available spice and nut powders.

Moreover, this premix is dominated with organic almonds and dried rose petals that add a delicate sweet floral touch.

The curation and methods used makes sure a great punch of flavour, and to top it off, it is also naturally sweetened with organic stevia leaves’ powder, perfectly balanced out with organic coconut sugar which falls as low as 35 on the glycaemic index (GI).

These conscious healthy choices make the thandai mix the celebration more colourful and guilt-free than ever before.

Talking about this, Sarrah Kapasi, co-founder and chief executive officer, said, “We are on a mission to make India diabetes-friendly, and targeting one occasion at a time.”

“Last year, we thoughtfully coincided the brand launch with Diwali, to end dessert deprivation for people with diabetes especially during festivities by introducing a range of Indian sweets,” she added.

Kapasi said, “Next was Til Ke Laddu for Makarsankranti, which is currently the bestseller. And, we noticed, this strategy is working in our favour.”

“Thandai is part of our just-launched category of pre-mixes, making it the latest offering by D-Alive. We are looking at addressing every gap that we identify in providing alternate food solutions, especially during such occasions,” she added.

D-Alive’s range of pre-mixes, which comprises thandai, masala soda and hibiscus mojito, is available exclusively on Amazon.in, and in select retail stores in Mumbai at just Rs 299 for a pack of six servings (90g).
