Stand By Coffee is making its way to Juhu, the Mumbai-born café brand began with a simple idea to create a neighbourhood café that people could make part of their everyday lives. Since then, it has grown organically across the city, with word of mouth and a loyal community of regulars driving its move from one neighbourhood to the next.
With every new neighbourhood, it gets to tell the story a little differently. From the community that grew around its first café in Worli to its move into Bandra and now Juhu, each location has brought a new energy to the brand. The idea has never been to recreate the same café three times, but to let each one find its place within its neighbourhood. Juhu brings a relaxed, creative and social energy of its own, giving the newest café a fresh perspective while keeping the things people know it for at its core good coffee, good food and a place that feels easy to spend time in.
Coffee sits at the centre of the offering, it works closely with its coffee partners to source quality beans across different flavour profiles and origins, with espresso-based coffees forming the core of the menu. For those looking to explore further, pour-over allows people to experience the coffee in a different way. The approach is serious about the quality of what goes into the cup, without making specialty coffee feel complicated or inaccessible.
It takes coffee seriously without taking itself too seriously. While coffee is at the heart of the brand, the cafés are designed around everyday a quick coffee, breakfast, a meeting, a day of work or simply some time to yourself. It is about good coffee and good hospitality, in a setting that feels easy to settle into.
The beverage menu continues to evolve beyond coffee. Matcha has become a popular choice for guests looking for an alternative, while the Juhu opening introduces Ube to the menu for the first time. The brand continues to experiment with interesting ingredients and new flavours, giving non-coffee drinkers more to choose from.
The food follows a similar philosophy, bringing together comfort food, all-day breakfast and contemporary flavours across a menu designed for different parts of the day. Among the regular favourites are Dan Dan Noodles, Thecha Grilled Cheese, Canteen Chicken Sandwich, Masala Omelette Croiwich, Quinoa Bhel and Kejriwal Dosa.
