Yazu has introduced a new wine menu designed to complement its Pan-Asian cuisine, offering diners a curated selection of wines and sake paired with signature dishes. The menu features a range of beverages, from refreshing whites and sparkling wines to full-bodied reds and sake, with pairings intended to enhance the flavours and textures of the restaurant’s offerings.
Among the highlights is Yellow Tail Pink Moscato Rosé, paired with the Kiwi & Pinenut Dumpling and Yuzu Raspberry Sorbet. The wine’s fruity notes complement the tartness of kiwi and raspberry, while its sweetness balances the citrusy character of yuzu.
For seafood lovers, Pasqua Pinot Grigio is paired with Prawn Har Gow. Its fresh profile complements the natural sweetness of the prawns, while Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial accompanies the Lobster & Scallop Dumpling. The sparkling wine’s freshness and bubbles balance the richness of the seafood.
The red wine selection includes Saldo Zinfandel, paired with New Zealand Lamb Chop. Its ripe fruit flavours and full body complement the savoury richness of the meat. La Vieille Ferme Rouge is matched with Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, balancing the sweetness of the glaze with the heat of the dish.
The beverage programme also extends beyond wine, with Kome Ichizu Junmai sake paired with the Shoyu Ramen Bowl. Its clean, rounded character complements the savoury broth and umami-rich flavours of the ramen.
Through the new menu, it aims to offer diners a more considered food and beverage experience, combining its signature Pan-Asian dishes with complementary wines and sake. The selection encourages guests to explore new pairings and experience familiar menu favourites through different flavour combinations.
