Food Darzee to offer healthy diets to stall weight-dependent diseases

Food Darzee, a health and nutrition company, combines nutrition, food, fitness and customer service to help achieve wellness goals. The company is now on an aggressive mode to stall lifestyle and weight-dependent diseases with a healthy diet offering.
Its specialised programme, Transform In 30-The Ketogenic Way, claims a 10 per cent of body weight loss in a span of 30 days. This is perceived by the company as the most scientific way to reduce fat in a moderately short period of time at a fast pace. This is because it is a combination of ketogenic nutrition plan devised by a personal nutritionist, continuous mentoring, with access to delectable ketogenic food and a keto-friendly physical training management.
The year-old bootstrapped company is the brainchild of four health enthusiasts - Anirudh Ganeriwal, Devaj Jhunjhunwala, Anik Bhandari and Dr Siddhant Bhargava, a qualified doctor who gave up his medical practice to become an entrepreneur in the healthy diet space.
“We believe that to eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art. The idea was to nip in the bud certain lifestyle and weight-dependent diseases and creating a healthy and conveniently managed in future,” Dr Bhargava, co-founder and fitness and nutritional scientist, Food Darzee, told F&B News in an e-mail.
“This is because Food Darzee has become synonymous with losing weight on a ketogenic diet. They trust us to give results with tasty food,” he added.
“An investment of around Rs 20 lakh in setting up a kitchen at Mahim, Mumbai led us to move to a larger facility in Parel very soon. Currently, it caters to 500 clients per day, serving 2,000 meals across the city. Our key strengths are constant innovation of food, engaging customers for nutritional support, and optimising weight loss,” said Dr Bhargava.
Since its inception in 2017, he added that the company had been able to impact the lives of over 3,500 people, ensuring almost 25,000kg are shed from them.
“We have helped over 20 women conceive when they were unable to do so for the past couple of years. Besides, the diet and counselling has enabled treating diabetes, hypertension and depression. We also cater to almost half of Bollywood, and we currently serve over 500 active clients a day,” Dr Bhargava.
He noted that 10 per cent of body weight can be sustainably lost with the diet. This is because of the science behind the diet.
The micro-tailoring of diets enables to optimise the weight loss. The person is also weaned off the diet, making him capable of tolerating normal food in a sustainable manner. Moreover, physical training in any form was recommended to hasten the weight loss process and to maintain the lean muscle mass.
Going forward, Food Darzee envisaged a national presence and being a one-stop nutrition solutions provider. Plans are underway to enter New Delhi in January 2019. Over the next six months, it would be present in Bengaluru and Pune as well.
