Chef Mehta conducts 10th cookery class organised by Freedom cooking oil

Freedom Healthy Cooking Oil Range organised the 10th Freedom Cookery Class by chef Puneet Mehta, one of the finalists of the second season of MasterChef India. At the master class, which took place at Officers’ Mess Function Plaza, Malakpet, and was an initiative to provide a platform for ladies to learn exotic dishes, Mehta prepared some popular, exotic and easy-to-cook dishes dishes with a healthy twist. He used Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil, which is clear, light and low-absorbing, promoting guilt-free eating.

The dishes included Asian sticky rice with chicken and condiments, Thai chicken satay with peanut sauce, Thai corn fritters with sauce, Pad Thai Noodles, Shrimp Toast, Asian Lemon Chicken and Darssan (an Asian dessert).

Moreover, there were three audience recipes - Chicken Cheese Muffins, Makzi Chicken and Shepherd’s pie. These were shortlisted for the 10th Freedom Cookery Class from among the recipes shared via e-mail by the audience, who were invited to do so. The winners were given an opportunity to cook with Mehta at the event.

He interacted with the participants, gave useful health and cooking tips and shared some of his most popular healthy recipes suiting both the palate and the season.

Speaking on the occasion, P Chandra Shekhara Reddy, vice-president, sales and marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oil Range, said, “We have received an overwhelming response to the 10th Freedom Cookery Class.”

“It was a pleasure watching the chef cook various dishes and the amazing participation from the audience. We are pleased to organise the event and provide the home cooks an opportunity to learn the recipes from the elite professionals as a part of this initiative,” he added.

“I thank chef Puneet Mehta for demonstrating his most popular recipes and conducting an extremely interactive session, engaging the audience and giving them the Freedom to Eat and Freedom to Enjoy,” Reddy said.
