Twenty-two Indian exhibitors at ProPak Asia ’17; 5,000 machines on display

Eight industry zones – ProcessingTechAsia, PackagingTechAsia, DrinkTechAsia, PharmaTech Asia, Lab&TestAsia, MaterialsAsia, Coding, Marketing&LabellingAsia and Coldchain, Logistics&WarehousingAsia – will be the highlights of the 25th edition of ProPak Asia – the show dedicated to food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing and packaging technology, which will be organised by UBM plc at Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre (BITEC) between June 14 and 17, 2017.   

Topping the agenda, the EIU report on Obesity in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) - titled “Tackling Obesity in the ASEAN: Prevalence, impact, and guidance on interventions” - will be launched at the event. The study has been commissioned by ARoFIIN, the organiser of the event, and carried out by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). Bruno Kistner of the ARoFIIN Secretariat will be the speaker.

Its concurrent event is Printech Asia, which is dedicated to package printing, labelling and converting technologies. The event will expand into a new hall, giving exhibitors the opportunity to expand and display more machines and new exhibitors an opportunity to showcase their products. ProPak Asia is truly an event for Asia and in Asia, and will showcase a wide range of high-quality products. An increase in consumer demand and technological advances are the two factors driving the productivity of operations and the manufacturing standards.

Exhibitors expected
Justin Pau, general manager, UBM BES, said, “In addition to the impressive growth ProPak Asia has witnessed, the event will welcome over 2,000 exhibitors from over 45 countries. This includes 22 companies from India.”

The exhibitors will represent such sectors as aseptic processing and packaging, automation and robotics, bottling technology, brewing and beverage technology, canning and can making, coding, marking, labelling, printing materials and technology, confectionery equipment, cosmetic and personal care processing and packaging, dairy and liquid processing technology, facilities equipment, systems and supplies, fish and seafood processing technology, flexible packaging technology, food ingredients, additives and flavourings, food processing machinery, food safety and hygiene technology, laboratory, testing and measurement equipment, logistics and production facility equipment, machinery controls and components, materials handling, logistics and storage equipment, meat processing and packaging technology, measurement and weighing, packaging accessories, packaging machinery, packaging (cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, paper and wood), palletising and conveying equipment, paper and corrugated box making technology, PET and plastics packaging technologies and materials, pharmaceutical processing and packaging, quality control, production machinery, raw materials and consumables, refrigeration systems/cold storage/air conditioning service companies, solids and bulk handling, trade publications, waste management and environmental technology.

Visitors expected
“About 45,000 trade visitors are expected to visit the event,” Pau said.

Pavilions
The event will host 18 international pavilions, representing Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.

“ProPak Asia has maintained its position as industry leader for the past 25 years and consistently established itself as the leading platform for the industry to meet,” said Pau, adding, “Connections made at the event provide a strong return on investment for those exhibiting and attending.”

Over 5,000 machines, from leading names such as Buhler, Heuft, Hörmann, Mitsubishi Chemical, Siemens, Tetra Pak and many more, will be on display at ProPak Asia.
