BASF appoints Richter as president, South & East Asia, ASEAN, Aus & NZ

BASF appointed Carola Richter as president, South and East Asia, ASEAN (the Association of South-East Asian Nations), and Australia and New Zealand, BASF, with effect from the beginning of July 2019. She succeeded Ramkumar Dhruva, who has assumed responsibility for the company’s global monomers division in Waterloo, Belgium.
She started her career with BASF in 2003 as a management consultant in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
Since then, Richter has held various management positions in Hong Kong and Germany, including senior vice-president, global marketing and technology, and vice-president, global business management, hygiene.
She was most recently senior vice-president, economic evaluations, Ludwigshafen.
Richter was born in Germany in 1973. She obtained her PhD in physics and mathematics from Heidelberg University.
