David Lloyd Talwalkar Club’s Patil wins best chef at Asia Food Congress

Kiran Patil, executive chef, David Lloyd Talwalkar Club, bagged the best chef award at the Asia Food Congress and Awards, which took place at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, recently. These prestigious awards recognise culinary professionals all around Asia.

He spearheads the two restaurants and the café at the hotel. Besides cooking, his passion for travelling and exploring has taken him to over 90 countries. A few of his favourite places are Honolulu, Hawaii, Cozumel, and the Virgin Island of Mexico. He loves collecting the local recipes from all over the world.

One of Patil’s biggest achievements has been bagging the Limca record for making the tallest and biggest croquembouche with the the entire team of best executive chefs from around the world.

He is very happy to receive this award, and strongly believes that there is no great chef without a great team.
