World Spice Organisation (WSO), a not-for-profit entity and the technical partner of the All-India Spices Exporters Forum (AISEF), is set to host the third edition of the National Spice Conference (NSC) 2024, on November 15 and 16, 2024, at the Double Tree by Hilton, Ahmedabad. The two-day event will bring together key stakeholders from across the spice industry to explore the theme: Sustainable Spices Supply Chain – Way Forward. Senior Government officials, industry leaders, farmer representatives, GIZ, and IDH, leaders of international NGOs working on sustainable agriculture, will also be present at NSC 2024.

The two-day event will host four business sessions on critical topics shaping the spice industry.  The conference will also cover interesting sessions namely: Ensuring Sustainable Supply Chain through Quality Assurance and Regulations; Role of Sustainability in Building a Food Safe and Resilient Supply Chain; Best Agricultural Practices and New Technologies; Introduction to FPOs and FPO Sharing Experiences and Latest Industry Trends. The second day session will be followed by an exclusive 3-hour Farmer-Buyer Interface session, offering FPOs the chance to directly connect with processors and buyers, creating opportunities for improved market access and enhanced trade relationships.

Ramkumar Menon, chairman of World Spice Organisation, said, “The Indian spice industry is at a crucial juncture, where sustainability, food safety, and quality are becoming central to maintaining a competitive edge in global markets. Through NSC 2024, we aim to empower FPOs and other stakeholders with the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to build a resilient and sustainable spice supply chain. With new regulatory demands and consumer expectations, it is critical for the spice industry to adopt practices that ensure both quality and sustainability.”
