The first leg of the inaugural essay of Zomaland, India’s most awaited food and entertainment carnival, is slated to take place at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium between January 18 and 20, 2019. It will bring a host of attractions, including several top-rated eateries from across the city, spread over seven curated cuisine zones, and food parades, together.

A zone will be dedicated to the Flavours of India, with restaurants like Biryani By Kilo, Nukkadwala, Amma Haus, Sassy Begum, Roomali Garh and Indian Republic Canteen by Veda.

The Oriental Trail will include Set’z, Guppy, Ping’s Cafe Orient, Enoki, Wanchai by Kylin, Namaste Asia and Wok to Walk, while the American Avenue will include eateries like La Pino'z Pizza, Smokey’s BBQ & Grill, Fat Lulus, NYC. Pie Pizza, Bombay Food Factory, Sazerac, Uncle Jack’s and The Burger House.

Tingling the international palates, there will be zones called European Eateries and Mexican Mania, comprising restaurants like Le Bistro Du Parc, Twigly, Doner And Gyros, Shawarma House, Pasta Pitaara and Rodeo Cantina & Kitchen.

There will be a Healthy Hub with eateries like The Salad Story for all the health enthusiasts; a Dessert District with Roshan di Kulfi, Keventers, Giani’s, Crepe-fe, Whipped, Waffle Wallah, Sardarji-Bakhsh Coffee & Co. and Georgia Dakota, and a Kids Park with a curated menu by Little.Big and Emoi.

Speaking about the carnival, Gaurav Gupta, chief operating officer, Zomato, said, “Zomaland celebrates the food industry that works tirelessly to make every meal a good one. It is our attempt to bring the best restaurants in the city together - a physical manifestation of much-loved Zomato Collections - so that our users can taste and try food that is unique and delicious. The team has been pulling out all the stops to make Zomaland truly the grandest carnival and we can’t wait to share it with all our users.”

Expressing gratitude on the initial response on Zomaland, Chaitanya Mathur, global head, Zomato Live, said, “Zomaland, for us, is a 2019 version of a traditional carnival that we all grew up enjoying. We analysed a decade worth of data to understand user preferences, build convenience and accessibility and enhance the user experience. It will be the first entertainment carnival with cuisine-based food zones across all three days. We received an incredible response to the early bird tickets - over 5,00,000 users pre-registered in less than 24 hours - so much so that we extended tickets for all users at a super-economical price.”

Zomato has partnered with Paytm as the payments partner and Ballantine’s as the official experience partner. Zomaland will take place in Pune between February 8 and 10, 2019, and Bengaluru between March 1 and 3, 2019. Early-bird tickets windows will be launched soon for its users in the two cities.

To kick-off Zomaland in the capital, Zomato opened up early-bird tickets for all users at a special price of Rs 350 and a special price of Rs 250 for Zomato Gold members. The early-bird tickets were accessible through the latest Zomato app.
