4th edition of Indian Restaurant Congress, awards on Aug 28, 29 in Haryana

fiogf49gjkf0d The 4th edition of Indian Restaurant Congress is being organised on August 28 and 29, 2014, at the Vivanta by Taj, Surajkund, Haryana.
According to a press release issued by Franchise India, the organisers, the congress will bring restaurant professionals and stakeholders under one roof, to have the ultimate creative marketing and business strategy pow-wow for the growth of restaurant business in India.
Bringing in veterans and visionaries at the helm of India’s restaurant revolution, the conference will give new and old owners and aspirants a chance to get a crash course on the future of the restaurant business in India, identifying the growth drivers & business opportunity in restaurant sector, and networking and collaborating opportunities for restaurant franchisors and franchisees, according to the organisers.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Marya, chairman, Franchise India, said, “The Indian restaurant business is becoming highly competitive, with the onset of many national and international brands coming to India and both are using distinctive ideas to create concept foods that are modern yet traditional, while tossing for an Indian palate of highest standards. This year, the Indian Restaurant Congress is themed around bringing forth the old fundamentals of restaurant business in a new avatar that would infuse in discussions, whether they are around food, business or growth.”
This year, the conference will be chaired by Anjan Chatterjee, founder and MD, Speciality Restaurants Ltd, along with a panel of speakers including Hemant Oberoi, chef; Tanmay Kumar, chief financial officer, Burger King, 24; Akshay Bector, MD, Mrs Bector’s Food Specialities Ltd; and Kunal Kapoor and Suranjan Singh Jolly, celebrity chefs.
One of the main attractions during the congress will be the gala dinner managed by Hemant Oberoi’s team. Apart from this, the congress will also offer opportunity for participants to do business networking at Lipton Hours. Further, it will facilitate restaurant and food service brands to compete for various awards to be presented at a ceremony.
