fiogf49gjkf0d Puri Oil Mills Ltd has signed Boman Irani as the new brand ambassador for its 80-year-old offering, P Mark Mustard Oil. Vivek Puri, the company’s managing director, was confident that the actor’s face would enable the brand to connect with its traditional consumer base in the hinterland and younger, health-conscious consumers in urban India.
“The times have changed. The young, urban consumer is quality-conscious, interested in nutritional issues and shares the health and fitness concerns associated with edible oils. Irani is an exceptional actor who personifies sincerity, elegance and maturity, which are the qualities our brands represent,” he said.
Puri stated that it was not easy to find the right person to be P Mark’s ambassador. “Irani is the perfect choice, because he is familiar with the wonders of mustard oil. His profile and charisma are an ideal fit for the brand. Moreover, he is highly respected around the country, and enjoys an outstanding reputation as an actor,” he added.
Acknowledging the offer to be P Mark’s new face, Irani stated that while he was a foodie, he focussed on fitness and was a healthy eater. A campaign featuring the actor is expected to break at some point during the season.
