Akshayakalpa Organic, has launched its organic grocery range to foster nutrition, clean science, and sustainable farming practices. The range includes a diverse selection of products, such as pulses, dry fruits, flour, millet, rice, spices, and sweeteners, designed to establish a holistic food ecosystem for conscious consumers.
The new range, sourced directly from organic farms, embodies the company's dedication to providing healthier alternatives to regular grocery items. Through ongoing diversification, the company expanded its product range beyond dairy, now encompassing grocery items, vegetables, and fruits.
According to a report, the Indian organic food market reached a value of $1,278 million in 2022 and is expected to reach a value of $4,602 million by 2028, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23.8% during the period of 2023-2028. The surge in organic grocery demand is fuelled by consumer awareness, health advantages, and increased accessibility. The company's latest category presents a comprehensive selection of organic groceries, delivering them directly to the consumer's doorstep, meeting the rising demand for healthier and more sustainable food choices.
Shashi Kumar, CEO and co-founder, Akshayakalpa Organic, said, Currently, with 1280 certified organic dairy farms predominantly in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, we are committed to expanding this network. Through the Akshayakalpa brand, we facilitate market connectivity for farmers, sourcing their organic grocery produce. These offerings, presently comprising 15 distinct grocery items, are set to grow as we progressively diversify our range. Our organic grocery products will be accessible through the Akshayakalpa app along with leading e-commerce platforms like Big Basket, Blanket, Swiggy, and retail dealers. As this initiative gains momentum, we anticipate the organic grocery segment contributing significantly to our revenue, projected to be 5% currently, it will grow eventually, depending on the consumers’ demand. Akshayakalpa's mission extends beyond commerce, championing sustainable agriculture and fostering a robust ecosystem for both farmers and consumers.”
