Amway scales up mission to nourish young India

Our Bureau, New Delhi
Amway India announced the launch of Phase II of its School Nutrition Education Programme under its flagship nutrition initiative, Power of 5 (Po5), in New Delhi. Building on the strong outcomes of Phase I, the company is expanding its commitment to strengthen the programme’s reach, deepen its impact, and further integrate nutrition education into the learning ecosystem. Phase II aims to make nutrition education an integral part of everyday learning by combining engaging classroom modules, digital learning tools, and community-led initiatives that encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.

Rajneesh Chopra, managing director, Amway India, said, “Our Power of 5 School Nutrition Education Programme goes beyond creating awareness—it is about empowering children with the knowledge and confidence to make healthier choices every day. The real impact comes when children develop a deeper understanding of nutrition, recognising how awareness, habits, and everyday choices work together to support healthy growth and lifelong wellbeing. Phase I of the programme demonstrated exactly that. By reaching over 40,000 individuals, including 10,000 children directly, we witnessed meaningful behavioural change—from children making healthier food choices and adopting better hygiene practices to embracing more nutritious lifestyles. Building on this momentum and guided by our vision of helping people live better lives, I am proud to announce Phase II. This next phase strengthens our commitment by embedding nutrition literacy and technology-enabled learning into school ecosystems, while extending its impact beyond classrooms to families and communities. Ultimately, this initiative is not just about what children eat; it is about equipping them to become informed advocates for healthier living, inspiring positive change within their homes and communities, and contributing to a healthier future for the nation.”

Praveen Khandelwal, Lok Sabha MP from Chandni Chowk Delhi, said, “The future of India is being shaped in our classrooms today, and ensuring every child has access to nutritious food is a shared responsibility. In line with this, eradicating malnutrition and building a healthier nation has been the Hon'ble Prime Minister's priorities. Through initiatives such as Poshan Abhiyan, significant efforts have been made to ensure children receive the nutrition they need for their overall development. However, securing our country's future can't be the government's responsibility alone. It's a collective duty that calls for active participation from citizens, communities, and responsible corporate institutions alike. I commend Amway India for advancing this shared vision through its Power of 5 | School Nutrition Education Programme, which is strengthening nutrition awareness and wellbeing among schoolchildren. This initiative shows how corporate social responsibility can complement national priorities, creating meaningful impact for a healthier, more resilient future for the next generation.”
