The menu at Gustoso – which has two outposts in Mumbai, located at Kemps Corner and Khar – features an exhaustive range of pizzas, be it the classic olive oil-drizzled Margherita studded with mozzarella, fresh basil, parmesan or the Arrabbiata finished with spicy sauce, mozzarella, garlic and jalapenos.

Those who prefer a spicy pizza can take their pick from either the Daviola (which combines Napoli salami, jalapenos and mozzarella with San Marzano tomato sauce) or the Pollo Piccante (which combines spicy minced chicken, San Marzano tomato sauce and jalapenos).

For those looking for something unusual, the options include the Stella (which is named after the pie’s star shape and served with a crust filled with ricotta, scamorza and kalamata olives, topped with mozzarella, arugula, house special tomato sauce and balsamic glaze) and the Viva L’Italia (a colourful pizza that combines basil pesto, San Marzano tomato sauce and Italian truffle oil).

Patrons who wish to sample a dish that pays homage to Italy’s passion for good eating, the Prosciutto di Parma is an ideal choice. It is served with Parma ham, mozzarella, arugula, parmesan and San Marzano tomato sauce.

Other variants include the Boscaiola (with Italian ham, mozzarella, parmesan, thyme roasted oyster mushrooms topped with green peas reduction and creamy bechamel) and the Delizia di Funghi (with sautéed oyster mushrooms, Italian truffle oil, mozzarella, arugula and parmesan). The latter is sure to find favour with vegetarians and meat-lovers alike.

Vegetarians can also sample the Nido Di Porri, served with mozzarella, baked potatoes, chives, topped with crunchy leeks.

If one is looking for a cheesy, creamy pizza pie, he/she can opt for either the Burratina (served with creamy burrata, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil and parmesan) or the Quattro Formaggi pizza (which derives its name from the combination of mozzarella, gorgonzola, scamorza and parmesan cheese).

The Fichi e Gorgonzola is a perfect play on sweet and savoury flavours – it combines mozzarella, gorgonzola, figs and walnuts.

The restaurant is open seven days a week, from noon to 3pm and from 7pm to midnight.
