Berlin Brew opens new outlet in Lower Parel

Berlin Brew, has opened its newest outlet in Kamala Mills, Lower Parel, expanding its presence into one of the city’s most prominent food, lifestyle and nightlife destinations. The new outlet brings together the brand’s craft beer programme, food and relaxed social atmosphere, building on its vision of creating approachable destinations for people to discover and enjoy craft beer. Its journey began with a group of friends who came together through hospitality, with the founding team having previously been associated with concepts including Bombay Cocktail Bar, Blanco Bar Eatery and Hangout, Boho Bar & Kitchen and Shalom. Their interest in craft beer grew through travels across Germany, London and Colombia, where they experienced brewing cultures that eventually inspired them to explore the category in India.
At the heart is a focus on well-crafted, flavour-driven beers that remain approachable for a wide range of drinkers. The brand’s portfolio includes popular styles such as Milk Stout, Dunkelweizen, Belgian Witbier and Hefeweizen, alongside a growing cider programme and seasonal offerings including Mango IPA and Lichi Vanilla Cider. The brand has also recently introduced Kala Khatta Cider and Lichi Vanilla Cider. Complementing the beverage programme is a multi-cuisine food menu featuring popular dishes such as Gochujang Potatoes, Mini Blue Cheese Kulcha and Butter Garlic Prawns, creating an offering designed for everything from casual meals and after-work drinks to longer evenings with friends.
Roshan Thakkar, founder, Berlin Brew, said, “When we first discovered craft beer during our travels, what stood out to us was the variety and the attention to how each beer was made. We were used to seeing the same limited choices, so the idea that beer could have different styles, flavours and personalities really fascinated us. That curiosity eventually led us to research the category in India and think about how we could create something that felt authentic to us. With Berlin Brew, our intention was never to make craft beer complicated or intimidating. We wanted to make good beer, get the flavours right and create a space where people could simply come in, relax and enjoy themselves.
