Beverage ingredients Theatre to top the Thai maiden list at Fi Asia ‘19

Last year’s show debut Beverage ingredients Theatre will have its maiden run in Thailand at the all-set-to-open Fi Asia 2019, the foremost food and beverage ingredients fair in this part of the world. The show will be held at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in the Thai capital between September 11 and 13, 2019.
The event will be marked by a variety of content and onsite features to provide visitors with a 360-degree perspective of the entire food and beverage industry.
Thailand’s food and beverage industry is one of the most developed in South-East Asia, making it the perfect location to establish one’s business in Asia. Attendees can grow their business by being part of Fi Asia 2019 and meet key decision makers from across the entire Asian food and beverage industry.
Visitors
Over 20,000 visitors from 70 countries are expected to participate in the show.
Exhibitors
Over 750 exhibitors are expected at the 2019 event.
Specialised Pavilions/Zones Beverage ingredients (Bi)
For the first time in Thailand, Informa Markets will have the Bi Pavilion, due to the demand from the market for a dedicated area for the beverage industry.
Natural ingredients (Ni)
Naturalness is one of the top trending topics being seen across the food and beverages industry. The Ni pavilion is the place to go at Fi Asia to source innovative natural ingredients, such as botanicals and natural colours and flavours, together with plant-based and herbal products.
Health ingredients (Hi)
Health ingredients Asia, previously co-located alongside CPhI South-East Asia, will take place for the first time alongside Fi Asia in 2019. The Hi Pavilion will be a dedicated zone for sourcing health ingredients and solutions.
USA Pavilion
Organised jointly by WUSATA and USDA, this is the place onsite to source ingredients from leading US ingredients suppliers.
China Pavilion
The China Pavilion, organised by UBM SinoExpo, is the largest pavilion at Fi Asia. Source ingredients from 100-plus ingredients suppliers from across China.
Irish Pavilion
For the first time this year Bord Bia, The Irish Food Board, will be onsite at the show, with an Irish pavilion showcasing leading suppliers from the country.
European Pavilion
This is a dedicated area on the show floor for European companies. Featuring companies from Germany, France, the Netherlands and Spain.
India Pavilion
It will be a source for a range of innovative ingredients suppliers from across India.
Thailand Pavilion
Fi Asia takes place in Thailand, so naturally there is a great selection of Thai companies, selling a wide selection of innovative ingredients.
Bretagne Commerce International
At the Bretagne Pavilion, one can source ingredients from leading French exhibitors from the Bretagne region in France.
New Business Pavilion
Those looking for new innovations can find them in the New Business Pavilion, which features first-time exhibitors at the show.
Japan Pavilion
The Japan Pavilion is the place on-site to meet with a range of leading Japanese suppliers.
Innovation Zone
Discover an extensive selection of the most innovative products, showcased alongside insightful information. The Innovation Zone showcases product innovations from leading industry players. It will provide the perfect opportunity to give new ingredients the introduction they deserve to the market. A popular area for visitors and the press, this feature has become a trendsetting spot for the nutrition industry.
International Conference
The Food ingredients Asia Conference 2019 and the second joint ACS AGFD - ACS ICSCT symposium on agricultural and food chemistry.
This year, the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT) will once again hold their International Conference onsite during the show. The theme of this year’s conference is Advances in Food Ingredients for Healthy Living.
The food and drink manufacturing industry is the largest industry, and with this there is a strong focus on innovation. As market evolves, several ingredients have emerged as key success factors in functional food development in order to respond to public health awareness.
Furthermore, indigenous foods which may not be commercialised yet are found to provide benefits to the human health.
Therefore, there is a need to understand the functional aspects and practical application of commercial ingredients, as well as the quest for new ones from local sources. The conference will cover all the above with topics relating to all aspects of food for health and nutrition.
Beverage ingredients Theatre
Fi Asia will once again feature the Beverage ingredients Theatre, which will support the Bi Pavilion, and will be a central location to know about the latest trends and innovations being seen across the beverage industry.
The South-East Asian beverage market is full of opportunities for local and global companies. With emerging economies, an increase in disposable income, and changing consumer habits to reflect global trends, this is a key region for beverage companies to focus attention.

The Innovation and self-guided Discovery Tour across the show will highlight to visitors how today’s leading ingredient suppliers are responding to key market trends and challenges. Exhibitors have been selected as a result of their innovation and development in these specific areas.
