The Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation (Aavin) has invited bids from eligible consultants to secure statutory approvals from the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) for the proposed 10 lakh litres per day (LLPD) dairy plant at Madhavaram.
According to the tender notification, the selected consultant will be responsible for obtaining plan approval and ensuring that all structural and architectural submissions meet the regulatory standards mandated by CMDA, the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), and local bodies.
The scope of work includes a detailed site inspection, verification of actual field measurements, and the preparation of all necessary drawings based on the prevailing approval norms. The consultant will also be required to draft architectural layouts, produce the structural stability report, and ensure that all documents conform to standard specifications before submission.
Further, the consultant must convert all required drawings into formats suitable for online submission, aligning with CMDA’s updated digital approval process. The federation has emphasised that adherence to all applicable standards is crucial to ensure a smooth and timely approval pathway for the project.
The establishment of the 10 LLPD dairy plant at Madhavaram is considered a significant infrastructure upgrade for Aavin, aimed at strengthening milk processing capacity and improving supply chain efficiency in Chennai and neighbouring regions.
The last date for submitting bids is December 15, 2025, and interested consultants are expected to meet all qualification norms outlined in the tender document.
