 Greesh Bindra has been appointed as vice-president, operations, at The Suryaa New Delhi. He has over 35 years of experience in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
The fact that he is a name to reckon with in the industry is evident from the fact that many foreign guests continue to return to the hotel he is leading, regardless of their preference for the brands.
Bindra’s collaborative and people-oriented approach, coupled with his passion to develop young professionals into leaders, has earned him the tag of a people’s person.
He has completed his general manager’s programme with Cornell University in 2006, and has also won many awards, including the Young Achiever’s Award for his contribution to hospitality at ITB Berlin and PATWA in 2007.
The same year, the award for the Hotelier of the Year 2006 was conferred upon Bindra by Safari India. In 2015, he bagged the best general manager award at the India Travel Awards.
Aside from his professional background, he is a dedicated sportsperson, who spends his free time playing golf, and is also on the executive committee of IGTA (Indian Golf Tourism Association). He is also president, SKAL, New Delhi.
