Burma Burma, India's renowned Burmese speciality restaurant and tea room, is set to host an exclusive one-night takeover at Nutcase Etc. in Kolkata on July 30, 2026, introducing guests to its award-winning zero-proof cocktails, newly curated small plates and signature Burmese dishes in an immersive evening titled "After Hours." Running from 5:00 pm to midnight, the event aims to redefine the city's bar and dining experience by celebrating innovative non-alcoholic beverages alongside authentic Burmese flavours.

Guests can savour an exclusive menu featuring small plates priced at Rs 450 each, Burma Burma's signature Khowsuey at  Rs 550, and a range of award-winning zero-proof cocktails priced between Rs 430 and Rs 470. The average cost for two is approximately Rs1,800, making it an accessible one-night-only dining experience for food and cocktail enthusiasts.

Known for its exploration of Myanmar's rich culinary traditions, Burma Burma has earned recognition for its inventive beverage programme. Its first-ever zero-proof cocktail menu received the Best Non-Alcoholic Menu 2025 award from 30 Best Bars India, reflecting the growing popularity of mindful drinking and sophisticated alcohol-free experiences.

For the Kolkata takeover, the restaurant has curated a menu of flavour-forward cocktails inspired by Burmese ingredients and culinary traditions. Highlights include the Burma Sour, featuring cold-pressed jackfruit, pineapple and zero-proof whiskey; Cane Glow, combining zero-proof amaro, sugarcane and cranberry; Elixir, a refreshing blend of watermelon, green tea and kaffir lime; Yangon Sunset, made with zero-proof whiskey, zero-proof red wine and lime; Pandan Royale, a tropical mix of tender coconut, pandan and zero-proof gin; and Laphet Lush, which pairs grapefruit with fermented tea leaf, basil salt and sesame oil.

Complementing the beverages is an all-new menu of Burmese-inspired small plates. Diners can choose from dishes such as Full Toss, Mandalay Mix, Mushroom Bombs, Spicy Tofu Skewers, Charred Tomato Tart, Canteen Puffs, and Charred Edamame, each showcasing traditional Burmese flavours with a contemporary twist.

The experience also features Burma Burma's signature Oh No Khowsuey, a creamy coconut milk curry infused with lemongrass and tamarind, served with diced vegetables and a choice of Hakka, whole wheat, udon or rice noodles.

The collaboration between Burma Burma and Nutcase Etc. reflects the increasing demand for premium zero-proof beverages and immersive dining experiences that combine global flavours with innovative culinary techniques.
