Heritage-inspired food brand CHACHA’S has officially entered the Indian market with a mission to revive the fading tradition of slow-cooked, chulha-to-jar Punjabi pickles, aiming to reach 10 million consumers across the country.
Founded in Mohali, Punjab, CHACHA’S is rooted in ancestral family recipes and follows a fully in-house, end-to-end production model at Sohal’s residency. From hand-selecting raw ingredients and whole spices to slow cooking, natural ageing, and final packaging, every step is carefully controlled to ensure authenticity, quality, and consistency.
What distinguishes CHACHA’S in a market often grappling with hygiene and sourcing concerns is its family-led approach. With no external labour involved, the founding family personally oversees cooking, packaging, label design, and even digital operations. Hygiene is treated as a personal responsibility, with the founders’ own children consuming the same products sold to customers. This commitment has translated into strong loyalty, with 60–70 per cent repeat customers.
The brand also demonstrated early resilience by successfully defending a trademark challenge from ITC under Class 29 in 2018–19, reinforcing its long-term vision and credibility.
Founded by the chacha–bhatija duo Manpreet Singh and Ravinder Singh, CHACHA’S focuses on traditional pickling techniques once common in Punjabi households. Each batch is prepared on a slow-burning flame, allowing spices to bloom naturally and flavours to mature over time.
Beyond being a condiment, CHACHA’S is positioning pickles as a new-age snacking category, blending nostalgia with modern consumption habits. The product portfolio includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings such as Chicken Pickle, Punjabi Mutton Pickle, Green Mango Pickle, Lemon Pickle, and Green Chilli Pickle, priced from Rs 356 onwards.
CHACHA’S products are currently available through its official website, with plans to expand via quick commerce platforms across India.
