Chandler Automation and Cyngn partner to bring autonomous robotics to food processing
Monday, 29 December, 2025, 16 : 00 PM [IST]
California, USA
In a move set to redefine material handling in the agriculture and food production sectors, industrial autonomous vehicle developer Cyngn has announced that Chandler Automation has officially joined its dealer network. The partnership marks Cyngn’s strategic expansion into the agricultural vertical, offering food processors a new way to bridge the gap between processing and packaging.

Through this alliance, Chandler Automation—a specialist in optical sorting, robotic palletizing, and custom processing machinery—will begin offering Cyngn’s flagship DriveMod Tugger. This autonomous vehicle is designed to automate high-frequency, repetitive material transport, allowing food producers to move goods seamlessly between upstream processing lines and downstream inspection and packaging stations.

While many food processing plants have modernized their sorting and packaging lines, the transport of goods between these stations often remains a manual, labour-intensive bottleneck.

"Many of our customers have modernized inspection and packaging but still rely on manual transport between stations," said Sean Chandler, CEO of Chandler Automation. "Cyngn’s autonomous technology gives us a solution that aligns with the continuous-flow operations our customers are designing."

The DriveMod Tugger is built for industrial-scale operations, capable of hauling up to 12,000 lbs and operating in both indoor and outdoor environments. For food processors facing chronic labour shortages and rising operational costs, the technology offers a compelling ROI, with a targeted payback period of less than two years.

Lior Tal, CEO of Cyngn, highlighted the importance of the agricultural sector in the company’s growth: "As food producers increase their investment in automation, the ability to autonomously move product becomes a meaningful opportunity to increase uptime and throughput. Chandler Automation is deeply embedded in this ecosystem, making them the ideal partner for this expansion."

By integrating AI-driven autonomous vehicles into the plant floor, the partnership aims to help food and agricultural processors reduce labour dependency and improve consistency across the entire production line.
