Messe München, the organisers of drink technology India (dti) 2017, which is dedicated to the Indian beverage, dairy, liquid food and associated packaging industries and slated to take place at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan between October 26 and 28, recently stated that the change to annual cycle was the right step to take.
With the decision to switch, the event is responding to the development in the Indian beverage, dairy and liquid food sectors. This rhythm, combined with alternating venues, takes into account the requirements of the Indian market and presents a need-oriented platform in all the regions of India.
dti’s 2017 essay is attracting strong interest from exhibitors, and, already over 90 per cent of the available exhibition space has been booked (which means it is approaching its full capacity). “Alternating between the three cities, dti now has excellent coverage of the north, south and west of India,” said Markus Kosak, exhibition director, dti.
He added, “As a result, we can offer our customers lasting visibility across India and we enable the industry to target the individual sectors in the respective regions in a highly efficient way.” For the event in New Delhi, dti has attracted the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), the country apex food regulator, as a supporter.
“The beverage, dairy and liquid-food area is continuing to make good progress in India,” said Avisha Desai, project director, dti. She added, “In particular, the themes of hygiene, recycling, resource-efficiency and packaging are playing a greater role than ever for the industry.”
“In all these areas, dti offers solutions tailored to meet the demands of the Indian market, and we are very pleased to have FSSAI on board as a new strong partner, supporting our event,” Desai added. The list of exhibitors include ACE Technologies, Anton Paar, Chemco Group, Krome Dispense, Repute Engineers, R J Brewing and The Brewmaster.
dti has gained an excellent reputation in India, as evidenced also by the fact that the key trade associations in India are taking part. Among them are VDMA India, All India Distillers’ Association (AIDA), All India Wine Producers’ Association (AIWPA) and Uttar Pradesh Distillers' Association (UPDA).
Besides the capital, the event will take place in Mumbai and Bengaluru, and the dates for these have already between decided: between October 24 and 26, 2018, it will take place at the Bombay Exhibition and Convention Centre in Mumbai, and between October 17 and 19, 2019, dti will make its Bangalore debut at the Bangalore Exhibition Centre.
