Curefoods, the Bengaluru-based multi-brand food services company, is expanding its portfolio by entering the fried chicken, coffee and premium ice cream segments as it prepares for its upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The move is aimed at strengthening its presence in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) market while diversifying revenue streams.
Founded by Ankit Nagori, Curefoods has built a large food services platform that operates several brands across categories such as pizzas, biryani, desserts and healthy meals. As part of its growth strategy ahead of listing, the company is now expanding into high-demand segments including fried chicken, affordable coffee and premium ice cream.
The fried chicken category will be driven by the company’s in-house brand PHAT (Pretty Hot And Tempting). According to Nagori, the global fried chicken market still has room for new strong brands beyond existing players, making it a promising opportunity for the company.
Curefoods is also strengthening its dessert offerings through PapaCream, a premium ice cream brand for which it holds pan-India franchise rights. The brand currently operates in more than 50 cloud kitchens and the company plans to expand it to around 100–150 locations by the end of the year. The business is expected to reach a Rs 50-crore run rate initially and could grow to Rs 100 crore thereafter.
In addition, coffee has emerged as a key growth lever for the company through kiosks and outlets of Krispy Kreme, where Curefoods holds franchise rights in India. Coffee currently contributes around 15 per cent of sales at several kiosks, with prices starting at Rs 69 and combo offers priced at Rs 99 targeting office clusters and high-footfall locations.
The company is also shifting its focus from a purely cloud-kitchen model to a stronger offline presence, expanding outlets in airports, malls and tech parks to balance rising food delivery costs and customer acquisition expenses.
With diversified brands across categories such as pizza, biryani, desserts and now chicken and coffee, Curefoods is positioning itself as a multi-brand food platform as it gears up to tap public markets.
