Daikin Australia expands refrigeration portfolio with launch of DeVap evaporator range
Friday, 13 February, 2026, 15 : 00 PM [IST]
Sydney, Australia
Daikin Australia has strengthened its refrigeration capabilities with the national launch of its new DeVap evaporator range, enabling the company to deliver a full equipment turnkey refrigeration solution to customers across the country.

The introduction of DeVap marks a significant milestone for the business, integrating evaporators into Daikin’s existing condensing unit portfolio to provide a complete refrigeration offering tailored to Australian commercial requirements. Developed specifically for local conditions, the range focuses on dependable performance and practical design to simplify installation, servicing and maintenance.

“Refrigeration is an important and growing focus for Daikin in Australia,” said Kevin Sultana, refrigeration sales manager at Daikin Australia. “By adding evaporators to our lineup, we can now deliver a more complete solution that reflects local operating conditions and the real-world needs of installers and business owners.”

The DeVap range was informed by extensive on-site research conducted across metropolitan and regional New South Wales and Queensland. Daikin engaged with businesses including fish markets, supermarkets, meat wholesalers, delicatessens, wineries, liquor outlets, produce specialists and ice cream manufacturers. “These insights shaped a design suited to local climate factors, including ambient humidity levels, and everyday operating demands,” Sultana added.

Engineered to integrate seamlessly with Daikin’s broader refrigeration portfolio, DeVap supports lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant alternatives such as R448A, R452A and R513A. The installer-focused design ensures precise commissioning, streamlined servicing and reduced maintenance demands, contributing to improved sustainability and longer lifecycle performance.

Built on Daikin’s global refrigeration expertise and validated through testing at its facilities in Japan, the range emphasises quality and reliability. Optional features include factory-fitted Carel EVD-ICE models to reduce installation time and enhance energy efficiency, along with Blygold coil coating for improved corrosion resistance in demanding environments.

The DeVap range will be available nationally from February 2026.
