Danone, the global food and beverage company, has been recognised on the CDP ‘Triple A’ list for 2025 for its leadership in environmental transparency and performance across climate change, water stewardship and forest preservation. This distinguished accolade places Danone among a select group of global companies demonstrating maturity in environmental governance and measurable progress toward sustainability targets.
Out of nearly 20,000 companies assessed this year, only 23 achieved a ‘Triple A’ score across all three environmental categories solidifying Danone’s position as a global leader committed to robust disclosure and verified action on environmental issues.
Antoine de Saint-Affrique, CEO of Danone, emphasised that the recognition reflects the company’s “tangible progress on its health, environmental and social ambitions” and highlighted that such achievements are the result of engagement from Danone’s entire value chain. The award also follows Danone’s announcement of full global B Corp™ certification in 2025, further embedding sustainability at the core of its business strategy.
In 2025, Danone advanced several key aspects of its Danone Impact Journey, the company’s sustainability roadmap. Initiatives included strengthened efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly methane emissions in its fresh milk sourcing, and support for farmer partnerships to enhance dairy supply chain resilience through the launch of the Danone Milk Academy.
Danone also expanded its water stewardship actions by publicly releasing the SPRING methodology to optimise water resource management and renewing its partnership with the Ramsar Convention to protect vital wetlands. For forest preservation, the company enhanced traceability with satellite monitoring partnerships and intensified supplier engagement.
The CDP recognition underscores that environmental ambition and commercial performance can go hand in hand showcasing Danone’s commitment to driving sustainability while maintaining competitive strength in the global food sector.
