Italian food is one of the most sought after cuisines across the world and over the past decade, we have seen its popularity rise in India. The growing fan base for Italian cuisine is owed to its simplicity and the use of finest ingredients. Taking cue from this growing trend, India’s only experiential luxury resort - Della Resorts in Lonavala, launches, ‘Villa Bistro - The Modern Italian Restaurant and Bar’ which is housed in the heart of this ultimate luxury destination.
Designed and conceptualised by visionary Jimmy Mistry, the pioneer in Experiential Hospitality, it is a 180 seater indoor and outdoor dining destination sprawled over 4000 sq. ft. Mistry has invented a unique and brand new design using inspiration from the Parsi Gara embroidery and motifs with animal prints in a beautiful blue and white hue.
Every piece of furniture and fixture across the indoor and alfresco area of the restaurant including the tableware, lighting even the cutlery and crockery are all available for sale at, the in-house interior product supply company that conceptualises, designs, manufactures and sells world-class home, decor, lifestyle and living products. Be it indoor or outdoor, whatever item you feast your eyes on can be yours to take home.
This spectacular Italian hideaway has a day to night menu of classic Italian dishes, from antipasti, wood fired pizzas to hand rolled pastas, seasonal salads and authentic tiramisu and Sicilian cassata.
The philosophy at the restaurant is all about enjoying the good things in life, simple delicious food with your favourite people.
Another spectacular addition is the artisanal chocolate station, crafted by chocolatiers who have innovated a section of alcohol chocolates and hand churned ice creams.
The menu is made for sharing and suits all ages. Start with a riot of flavours; Bruschetta Assortite, packed with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms and cream cheese or opt for hard to resist Frittelle di Mozzarella, crispy mozzarella cheese in gherkins served with a tangy tomato jam. Move on to a wide selection of hand rolled pastas; Tagliatelle Al Tartufo accentuated with black truffle oil or a classic Gnocchi Al Ragu with slow cooked lamb, it sure is vivacity with every bite! If there is one thing that makes any day better is a hot slice of pizza, from Margherita to Diavola, choose your own crust for that perfect bite. And always leave room for Dolce! You may consider a seasonal gelato for something lighter or share the signature Della Explosion.
With a carefully thought through menu, the restaurant transitions from coffees to aperitifs and digestifs. If you’re a night owl, Villa Bistro is the perfect place to settle for the evening.
