The grandest of all festivals in Bengal, Durga Puja, is just round the corner. Everyone in the city is gearing up to celebrate the pujas in Kolkata.
To keep up with the festivities, several local establishments have come out with new and exciting offers for patrons to enjoy.
Zobet
Zobet has curated a special fusion pujo menu that will truly satiate the taste buds of patrons. The ‘Puja Grandiose’ menu is available at the gastropub from October 15 to 31, 2020.
The culinary team has handcrafted some authentic Bengali dishes but with a twist. Some of the dishes in the menu include ‘Aloo Posto Seekh’ , ‘Sweet Potato Hummus’ ‘Sorshe Ilish with Steam Rice’ ‘Chingri Posto Paella’. Also on the menu is ‘Chenna Jalebi South West’ ‘Sondesh Cheesecake’
To raise the spirits higher, the in-house mixologist has stirred up some heady concoctions like, ’Malt Fermented Sangria’ Fermented beer sangria, with fruit infused tequila, ‘Wild Summer’ Concoction with Gin and Malta peel, ‘Cuban Salty Smash’ Beach special tangy white rum topped with tonic water, ‘Sour Story’ Kamakazi, Vodka with desi kaffir lime and coffee. Some of the mocktails include, ‘Anis Ginger Cooler’ and ‘Chatka Merry’ amongst others.
Royal China
The culinary team of Royal China, Kolkata, has thoughtfully introduced an array of all new appetising dishes on their menu to celebrate Pujos. This menu will be available from October 13, 2020, onwards for guests to savour at the outlet. It will also be on Swiggy and Zomato for delivery.
The menu is an ode to the majestic world of Cantonese cuisine. Patrons can dig into exquisite dishes like, ‘Panfried Pomfret in Black Bean Sauce’, ‘Baked Chilean Sea Bass (Honey Glazed)’, ‘Baked Salmon Garlic (Honey Glazed)’, ‘Steamed Truffle and Pork Dumpling’ and ‘Steamed Shrimp and Pork Sui Mai’ to name a few.
As no meal is complete without desserts, the chef has introduced a selection of drool-worthy desserts, like, ‘Tiramisu’, ‘Apple Pie’, ‘Toffee Walnut with Vanilla Ice cream’ and ‘Creme Brulee’ amongst a few others for a sinful ending.
Yauatcha
A dining experience at Yauatcha is incomplete without having their intricately crafted dim sum. Try the favourite Prawn and Gondhoraj dumpling, wherein the culinary team has added a twist to the classic har gau by adding a zing of Gondhoraj, or the crunchy Banana blossom dumpling garnished with a vibrant green coriander leaf. From the stir-fries, one must have the Stir-fried minced lamb with fried eggplant, made using modern Cantonese techniques and Asian flavours.
From the main dishes one can enjoy Steamed spicy Bhetki with mango and mustard sauce, the restaurant's rendition of the very popular ‘Sorshe Bhetki’ and for the staples, the Yang chow fried rice and Sweet and spicy lomein.
To end your festive meal, the alluring dessert section comprises of Fresh cream mousse with caramelised sweet curd ice cream to soothe your taste buds, a take on the classic Mishti doi.
