FOO, the Pan-Asian restaurant brand from Pebble Street Hospitality, has expanded its presence in Bengaluru with the launch of its fourth restaurant at Essensai 067 in Whitefield. The new outlet marks its first restaurant in the Whitefield area and brings the brand’s Pan-Asian dining experience to a new setting.
Spread across approximately 2,900 sq ft, the restaurant has a seating capacity of 97 guests. Designed by Sarah Sham, the space combines its signature visual identity with a distinct design language featuring bold reds and cobalt blues alongside warm timber, stone, marble, brass and soft upholstery.
An arched entrance leads into a series of dining and social spaces, complemented by sculptural lighting, graphic artwork and a flowing terrazzo floor. The central bar serves as an anchor to the restaurant, while the ambience transitions from the energetic dining area to a more intimate bar setting.
The restaurant also features a covered outdoor pergola designed for Bengaluru’s evenings. Equipped with ceiling fans, clusters of tables and a DJ console, the outdoor space is positioned as a social setting for cocktails, dining and after-dark experiences.
The culinary offering has been curated by chef Eric Sifu and features more than 100 varieties of Asian tapas across sushi, dim sum, Nikkei dishes and Peruvian ceviche. The menu includes dishes such as Blue Butter Japanese Fried Rice with Yellow Curry, Truffle Togarashi Black Rice Maki, Truffle Lobster Dumplings and Charcoal Har Gow with gold dust. Plant-forward options include Wasabi, Truffle & Edamame.
The beverage programme features cocktails incorporating Asian ingredients such as yuzu, miso and sake, along with house-infused spirits. Brew, a Japanese rice crisp beer, is also available, designed to complement the brand’s sushi, dim sum and small plates.
Ryan Tham and Keenan Tham, founders, Pebble Street Hospitality, said, “Bengaluru has shown us a lot of love and has always been a city we have wanted to keep growing with, and opening our fourth restaurant in Essensai 067 felt like the right next step. We wanted the new space to feel familiar enough for people who already know FOO, but still give them something new to discover, particularly through the way the food, drinks, music, and space come together. At the end of the day, FOO has always been about having a great time around a table, and that is exactly what we wanted to create here.”
