Food ordering platform Runnr adds senior talent from Uber and Facebook

Food ordering and delivery platform Runnr has added senior talent to its team over the last few months in order to strengthen core organisational capabilities. Senior executives with rich experience have joined Runnr from organisations like Bharti Group, Uber, Facebook and Dazo.
Garima Gupta is Runnr’s chief financial officer. A chartered accountant, Gupta has worked in several functional and leadership roles in finance. Most recently, she was chief financial officer, Nxtra Data Limited, Bharti’s data centre business. Prior to this, she was with Genpact.
Aadish Dhakad, an Indian Institute of Management alumnus, is currently heading the supply operations at Runnr. He comes with a diverse experience in banking, power and logistics.
As operations manager, Uber Pune, Dhakad was responsible for developing scalable processes for partner on-boarding, training, quality and fraud control, and for managing payments. He was instrumental in new product development and for implementing various strategic initiatives for the brand.
Ankit Jain leads all things data at Runnr, where his team uses advanced machine learning and statistical skills to solve the complex last mile logistics problems in India. Prior to this, he worked at Facebook in Silicon Valley where he contributed as a data scientist.
He specifically designed a novel spam detection technique for Facebook pages which was eventually implemented to all the users. Jain holds a master’s degree from UC Berkeley and a bachelors in electrical engineering from IIT Bombay. He also worked with Bank of America and Clearslide.
Prabhat Agrawal is currently heading the Runnr Corporate Meals vertical in Bangalore. An IIT Guwahati graduate, he was the chief operating officer at Dazo, a food tech delivery startup in 2015. Prior to this, he co-founded Pepper’s Online Supermarket.
Mohit Kumar, co-founder and chief executive officer, Runnr, said, “We are solving various problems for the user and technology, operational and unit efficiency will facilitate this. With a strong core team in place, we are now focused on a new phase of growth.”
Runnr started its food delivery app in July this year and plans to focus on growing and scaling quickly over the next few months.
