Our Bureau, Mumbai
Global taste and wellbeing leader Givaudan is set to make a major impact at Fi Europe 2025 (Paris, 2–4 December), where it will showcase an extensive portfolio of natural, functional and sensory-rich solutions designed to meet the fast-evolving expectations of global consumers. At booth 40J90, the company will present how the integration of ingredients, colours and flavours can elevate modern food and beverage experiences—ensuring products taste good, feel good and “do good”.

With 57% of consumers worldwide now seeking functional or fortified foods and 74% increasing their consumption over the last six months, Givaudan says it is perfectly positioned to support brands in meeting this surge in demand. Leveraging botanical expertise, breakthrough research and deep understanding of emotional cues, the company is focusing on delivering products that are both nutritious and indulgent.

A major highlight of Givaudan’s showcase is its new concepts developed using insights from its Moods & Emotions 2.0 study—one of the largest emotional-sensory research efforts in Europe, covering 76,000 consumers across 13 countries. The study maps how colours, flavours and sensory elements influence mood and emotional expectations, allowing brands to craft products that resonate more powerfully with consumers.

Synergy in Action: Concepts Debuting at Fi Europe 2025

Givaudan will present a wide range of prototypes that demonstrate the intersection of functionality, naturality and sensory pleasure, including:
  • Functional hydration and energy beverages enhanced with botanicals such as yerba maté, hibiscus, green tea and coconut water, complemented by Vegebrite natural colours and refreshing flavour pairings like honey-yuzu-apple.
  • Clean-label BBQ sauce using upcycled green banana powder for texture, supported by smoke-free flavouring and natural brown colouring.
  • Gut-friendly puffed snacks featuring Oatwell oat beta-glucans, green banana powder, cheese flavouring and paprika colour.
  • Multi-sensory chocolate innovations, including plant-based, dark and white varieties infused with açaí, ginger, blueberry and lemon, coloured naturally with Vegebrite and Michroma pigments.
  • High-protein energy bars with crunchy soy crispies, matcha, rosemary, raspberry and acerola, offering vitality without compromising taste.
  • Vibrant festive brownies enhanced with botanicals and coloured naturally for indulgent snacking moments.
Expert Session at Fi Europe 2025
Givaudan will also host an expert presentation titled “Enhancing functional beverages by combining flavours and colours with science-backed botanicals to deliver immediate perceived effects” on 2 December at 1:30 p.m. at the Exhibitor Showcase Theatre (40A104).

The company says its Fi Europe 2025 presence reflects its ongoing mission to help brands create food and beverage products that deliver wellbeing, emotional uplift and unforgettable sensory delight.
