Gold Winner expands portfolio with launch of four new edible oils

Gold Winner, a leading edible oil brand in South India, has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of four new traditional cooking oils — Groundnut Oil, Gingelly Oil, Coconut Oil and Rice Bran Oil — strengthening its position as a comprehensive cooking oil brand for Indian households.

The company said the expansion aims to offer consumers a wider choice of oils under a single trusted brand while catering to diverse cooking styles and traditional recipes followed across Indian kitchens.

Gold Winner, which began its journey nearly three decades ago in Chennai, has grown into a prominent FMCG brand in the edible oil segment. The brand is widely recognised for its tagline “Ammakkalin Nambikkai”, meaning “Mothers’ Trust”, and currently reaches nearly two crore families every month across South India.

With the launch of the new oils, the company aims to provide households with multiple cooking oil options under one brand, reducing the need for consumers to switch between different brands for different types of dishes.

The newly introduced range includes Gold Winner Groundnut Oil, Gold Winner Gingelly Oil, Gold Winner Coconut Oil and Gold Winner Rice Bran Oil. These oils are designed to support a variety of cooking methods and cuisines, including traditional South Indian dishes that often require specific types of oils for authentic taste and texture.

The expanded portfolio has been introduced under the tagline “Gold Winner 5 – Quality la Vera Range-u”, highlighting the brand’s focus on quality and variety. According to the company, the product range is built on three core pillars — long-standing consumer trust in the Gold Winner brand, oils suitable for diverse cooking requirements, and a continued commitment to quality.

Industry observers note that the move reflects growing demand for multiple edible oil options in Indian households as consumers increasingly experiment with different cuisines and cooking styles.

With this portfolio expansion, Gold Winner aims to strengthen its presence in the competitive edible oil market while continuing to build on the trust it has established among South Indian consumers over the past 30 years.
