Haldiram Snacks will invest Rs 300 crore to set up a manufacturing unit in Bihar. The company, known for its sweets, namkeen, bhujia, and snacks, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government to proceed with the investment.
According to vice president Sanjay Singhania, the plant will be located in Bihta, at Sikanderpur, where the company has acquired 12 acre of land. He confirmed this development during the Bihar Business Connect 2024 event.
The manufacturing facility will focus on producing sweets, namkeens, and snacks, with plans for operations to begin by mid-2027.
Haldiram is now India’s largest packaged snack and sweets company, as well as a restaurant operator. The company sells products in over 80 countries and is family-owned, managed by the Agarwal family.
