Harajuku Tokyo Café has raised $3 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Zero W. Existing seed investors Indian Angel Network and Samved VC participated in the round with follow-on investments. New investors include Blume Founders Fund, Brijesh Parekh Family Office, Rahul Jain, co-founder of Epigamia, and other investors.
The funding comes as the company reports growth in both its outlet network and revenue. Since its seed funding round in August 2025, it has doubled its outlet count and revenue. Mumbai, where the brand launched in July 2025, now contributes 25 per cent of its revenue. The company processes more than 1,000 orders daily across dine-in and delivery channels.
Harajuku Bakehouse has emerged as a key growth driver, contributing over 30 per cent of the company's total revenue. In Delhi NCR, its products sell more than 1,000 loaves of bread per week through quick-commerce platform Blinkit. The company plans to expand its Bakehouse presence into additional metropolitan markets.
Gaurav Kanwar, founder and CEO of Harajuku, said, “The business has focused on building operational infrastructure to maintain consistent quality while expanding. Investments in centralised kitchens and systems that provide daily visibility into outlet performance, ingredients and costs are expected to support the next phase of growth. The company aims to achieve revenue of Rs 100 crore in the current financial year.”
Pruthvi, Director, Zero W, said, “The growing acceptance of Japanese cuisine in India's everyday dining market presents opportunities for brands capable of delivering consistent customer experiences across locations. He added that Harajuku's operating model, supported by outlet-level visibility and close monitoring of ingredients and costs, positions the business for expansion.”
Hari Balasubramanian, angel investor at Indian Angel Network, said, “The company's progress since its seed-stage investment had reinforced confidence in its business model. He highlighted the encouraging response in Mumbai as an indication of the brand's potential to expand beyond its initial market.”
