Health ingredients pavilion to debut at essay

A pavilion dedicated to health ingredients will debut at the 14th essay of Food Ingredients India and Health Ingredients (Fi India and Hi), which is slated to take place in Hall 1 of Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, between October 22 and 24, 2019.

“Natural and health ingredients will be the theme of the event, which will also witness the debut of Global Ingredients Trends by Mintel, and be co-located with the second edition of ProPak India, which will offer a complete value chain for food and beverage ingredient manufacturers,” stated Sameer Mithia, project director, food ingredients portfolio, Fi India, while revealing details on the event.

“Natural flavours for the food and beverage industry will be the other major takeaway from the event, which is considered the most comprehensive business-to-business (B2B) show dedicated to the food and health ingredients, processing and packaging industry in the Indian sub-continent,” added Mithia.

Second Propak India
The second essay of Propak India will be an ideal platform to connect at every level of the rapidly-expanding processing and packaging industry value chains.

It will access a robust and expanding industry and market growing at high GDP (gross domestic product) growth rates with a strong increase and further potential to expand throughout its food, drink, personal care and hygiene, industrial goods, e-commerce, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
The show is aimed at the manufacturing industry, for whom packaging is an integral growth driver.

The three-day onsite seminars conducted by the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India) (AFST[I]) and the Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association (HADSA) will help the industry professionals to grow.

The Product Showcase will be concentrated at one spot at Fi India and Hi. One can find a selection of new ingredients for the food and beverage industry. Also, one will be invited to vote for the most innovative product in the Product Showcase. The top three innovations will be awarded the Visitors’ Choice Innovative Ingredients Award.

Live Demonstration
The workshops on Day 1 and Day 2 will be conducted by the Assocom Institute of Bakery Technology and Management (AIBTM) using exhibitor’s ingredients.The workshops will be conducted on fancy bread-making, alternatives, Live Quality Lab and Food Safety on Wheels by FSSAI, etc.

Pavilions
According to Mithia, there will be three pavilions at the event. These are as follows:

Health Ingredients Pavilion: It will showcase the global functional food and nutritional ingredients.

China Pavilion: Over 45 leading Chinese companies will display their range of products.

International Pavilion: It will be highlighting products from over 15 countries.

Food processing is one of the largest industries in India and is expected to be worth $482 billion, and subsequently, the Indian food and beverage retail market is expected to reach $915 billion by 2020. Dairy, beverages, bread and cereals, snacks and health products are the fastest-growing segments.The market for soft and alcoholic drinks is growing at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 14 per cent.

Over the past two decades, the ingredients industry has evolved significantly, with consumers seeking functional foods that offer beneficial solutions to whatever health challenges they may face. From antioxidants to anti-allergens, and from fat reduction to sports nutrition, nutrition and wellness is a growing trend with no end in sight.

Health ingredients (Hi) India will be creating a powerhouse exhibition that provides a complete 360-degree perspective of the health, nutritional and wellness industry. By bringing the industry together, Fi India and Hi allow you to display your products to thousands of food professionals at once, and conduct business efficiently and effectively.
