Homefoil, the premium consumer brand of LSKB Aluminium Foils Pvt. Ltd., has announced its entry into the paper-based food packaging segment with the launch of its Grease Proof Paper at Aahar 2026 in New Delhi. The launch marks the brand’s strategic diversification beyond its established aluminium foil product portfolio.

The newly introduced grease proof paper offers oil resistance of up to 168 hours, significantly higher than conventional uncoated paper formats that typically withstand grease for about five to six hours. Designed to minimise oil seepage and staining, the product aims to improve food handling, hygiene and presentation across both household kitchens and food service environments.

According to the company, the paper is manufactured using food-contact safe materials with FDA-compliant additives and is biodegradable and non-toxic. The product has been developed to meet the growing demand for safe and hygienic packaging solutions across retail and the HoReCa (hotel, restaurant and catering) sector.

The product was showcased to distributors, HoReCa operators and retail partners during the exhibition, reflecting increasing demand for reliable grease-management solutions in both domestic and commercial kitchens.

The grease proof paper has been designed to support multiple food preparation and packaging applications such as food wrapping, baking preparation and microwave reheating. Manufactured at the company’s facility in Sonipat, the paper offers consistent roll strength and thickness suitable for everyday kitchen use.

The initial rollout includes four variants 20+5 metres, 40 metres, 75 metres and 90 metres rolls—catering to both household consumers and high-volume HoReCa requirements.

Commenting on the launch, Kunal Bajaj, Director at Jupiter Group, said that the rapid growth of quick service restaurants, cloud kitchens and the expanding food delivery ecosystem is driving demand for reliable packaging materials that can perform consistently under high-volume operations.

Meanwhile, Lakshay Singhal, Director at LSKB Aluminium Foils Pvt. Ltd., said the company sees significant opportunity to introduce higher quality solutions in the food packaging category as consumer expectations around hygiene, safety and convenience continue to evolve.

The commercial rollout of the grease proof paper will begin in March 2026 through HOMEFOIL’s distribution network of over 150 distributors and 25,000 channel partners across India. The products will also be available on major e-commerce and quick commerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto and Zomato’s Hyperpure.

Alongside the new category launch, the company also showcased its flagship Golden Embossed Aluminium Foil and other packaging innovations at Aahar 2026, reinforcing its strategy to expand across complementary food packaging solutions for retail and food service markets.
