ISMA unveils ‘India Sugar & Bio-energy Conference 2024’

The Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association will unveil the 2nd edition of ‘The India Sugar & Bio-Energy Conference’ on September 26 and 27, 2024, at JW Marriott, Aerocity in New Delhi. In collaboration with the Government of India (GOI) and the International Sugar Organisation (ISO), this year’s theme, 'Harmonising Sweet Sustainability: Navigating India’s Path to a Green Economy’, will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to drive dialogue, innovation, and collaboration for sustainable growth and development of the sugar and bio-energy industries.

The second edition of the conference will be inaugurated by Pralhad Joshi (Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New & Renewable Energy, Government of India). The inauguration ceremony will also witness Deepak Ballani (director general of ISMA) delivering a Vote of Thanks and officially launching ISMA Times - the apex body's dedicated magazine that will capture all the major happenings and lead you to the future of the sugar and bio-energy industry.

Some of the key conference sessions to watch out for:
  • ‘Global Sugar Production - S&D Dynamics’ will throw light on global sugar market trends, export opportunities, and emerging market scenarios.
  • 'Optimising Sugarcane Production in India' is centred on busting the myths and discussing the support required & innovations to increase yield.
  • 'Ethanol - Production, Distribution, & Consumption' is aimed at discussing the infrastructure readiness, the future of FFVs & Hybrids, and India's journey to E100.
  • ‘Integrating Sustainability into Sugar Production’ will explore innovative approaches to incorporating sustainability into every stage of sugar production.
  • ‘Data Analytics & AI for Production Forecast and Mill Strategies’ is focused on how data analytics can enhance sugarcane production forecasting and improve yield prediction accuracy.
