Jaipur and Mumbai are increasingly being explored through their cafés, restaurants and bars, with contemporary food and social experiences adding a new dimension to the cities’ tourism offerings. This Tourism Week, several hospitality destinations are highlighting the evolving culinary and nightlife culture of the two cities, encouraging travellers to explore beyond conventional landmarks.

In Jaipur, Swinton House draws inspiration from the architectural legacy of Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob while combining the city’s heritage with contemporary dining and nightlife. Its open-courtyard venue, The Yard, offers international-fusion food and beverages, while The Albion features a more energetic lounge setting with Pan-Asian cuisine and cocktails. Signature drinks such as Sassy Jamun and Kingsmaker Highball add a contemporary element to the experience.

Also in Jaipur, Room No. 102 at Devraj Niwas, Bani Park, offers a speakeasy-style experience centred on discovery. Guests enter through a concealed entrance after solving a riddle, leading to an intimate setting featuring signature cocktails and small plates. Its vintage-inspired interiors and hidden-bar concept provide an alternative to Jaipur’s conventional nightlife circuit.

In Mumbai, Call Me Sofia, an Italian-style aperitivo bar from AD Singh and the Olive Group, focuses on the early-evening drinking ritual. Its beverage programme features low-ABV serves, vermouths, bitters and infused aperitifs. Signature cocktails such as Caprese-tini and Call Me Maybe combine Italian-inspired flavours with unconventional ingredients, complemented by small plates. Located behind Olive Bandra’s white façade, the venue offers a more relaxed setting for drinks and conversation.

Meanwhile, FOO Asian Tapas is catering to travellers seeking contemporary Pan-Asian dining experiences across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Pune. Its sharing-led menu includes dishes such as FOO Yam Bean Uramaki, Peruvian Lobster Roll and Truffle Chicken & Prawns Siu Mai, alongside sushi, dim sum, noodles and small plates.

With cafés, restaurants, cocktail bars and hidden dining destinations becoming increasingly integrated into travel itineraries, Jaipur and Mumbai are showcasing how food and nightlife can complement traditional sightseeing. These experiences are giving visitors additional ways to explore the cities through their local dining and social culture.
