JBS Field is a ‘True Home Run’ for Cactus, Texas

Little League in Cactus, Texas hit a home run as local elected officials and JBS team members gathered for the grand opening of JBS Field on September 7, 2024. The company invested $400,000 through its Hometown Strong programme to make JBS Field in Cactus possible and has invested over $17 million since 2020, in Texas through Hometown Strong.
Aldo Gallegos, Cactus city manager, said, "Our community is proud to have a JBS plant in our city, and the millions of dollars they have invested in the local community has been a true home run for Cactus, Texas. When JBS calls your region home, they go the extra mile to help make the community a special place to live, and JBS Field is a perfect example of our ongoing partnership. Generations of kids in Cactus, Texas, will live out their dreams on this field and we are proud to partner on yet another great community project with JBS.”
Paul Finch, general manager of JBS Cactus, said, “Building a community where every local resident has access to world-class recreation facilities is a win-win for everyone involved. The City of Cactus and JBS have knocked this Hometown Strong project out of the park. JBS Field is a symbol of our commitment to this amazing community our team members call home, and we are proud to have invested $400,000 into making dreams come true for generations of Little Leaguers in Cactus, Texas."
Rowdy Rhodes, Moore County judge, said, “This is an amazing field, this is pro. You have kids who would probably never play ball, they’re going to go to high school and play, you could have kids going to go to college to play. You may have some professional baseball players just because when they were a kid they had the opportunity.”
